Search Warrant Executed at Memphis Residence

MEMPHIS, Mo.-  A suspect has been identified in a recent burglary.  Memphis Police Captain Bill Holland told KMEM News that his department sought a search warrant for a Memphis residence on Tuesday.  The warrant was issued the same day. 

That warrant was in relation to a burglary that occurred at the Fire Palace Smoke Shop in Memphis in the early morning hours of Tuesday, April 23rd.  Captain Holland said that the business was broken into by breaking a lock on the back door.  Over $2,600 worth of products were taken.

Surveillance video at the scene as well as other nearby businesses was used to identify a male juvenile suspect who resides in Memphis.  The Memphis Police Department was assisted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol in executing the search warrant.  During the search, several items were found and seized that were connected to the break-in.  The case has been turned over to local juvenile law enforcement authorities.
