Donnie Middleton

 

Donnie began his career at KMEM in June of 1986 as a DJ and host of Nostalgia Sunday. Donnie began doing football play-by-play in the fall of 1986 as their radio voice of the Schuyler Country Rams. During the past 26 years he has broadcast over 350 high school football games, 2400 basketball games. with over 106 basketball games in one year. As well as numerous high school softball and baseball games. Donnie has an Associate of Arts degree from Centerville, Iowa Community College as well as being a 1968 graduate of Career Academy School of Broadcasting. Its been said that Donnie can make a game of chess exciting.

Donnie is also an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Donnie has always been in the booth for the Rams, the same cannot be said for the color men that have joined him, on this Donnie said, “For the first eleven years of football I had ten different color men and they were all pretty good, but seven years ago I was hooked up with my son and we just clicked, it’s been great”.
