Donnie Middleton

KMEM is proud of our Hall of Fame high school sports director, Donnie Middleton.

With more than 3,000 high school sports radio broadcasts to his name, Donnie Middleton was inducted into the media side of the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame, April 22, 2017.

Donnie began his career at KMEM in June of 1986 as a DJ and host of Nostalgia Sunday, and began doing football play-by-play in the fall of 1986 as the radio voice of the Schuyler County Rams. He has an Associate of Arts degree from Centerville, Iowa Community College as well as being a 1968 graduate of Career Academy School of Broadcasting. It’s been said that Donnie can make a game of chess exciting.

Donnie is a co-owner of Memphis Lumber Company and is an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Donnie has always been in the booth for the Rams, the same cannot be said for the color men that have joined him.   On this he said, “For the first eleven years of football I had ten different color men and they were all pretty good,” but afterwards “I was hooked up with my son and we just clicked, it’s been great.”

You can hear Donnie and Allen Middleton on Friday nights and Saturday mornings all season long on KMEM FM 100.5. You can e-mail Donnie at
