Memorial services for 68-year-old LaVerne Jesse Tillett of Worthington, Missouri will be held at the Worthington Baptist Church in Worthington, Missouri on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 2:00 p.m.

LaVerne Jesse Tillett passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at his home in Worthington, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for the Hospice of Northeast Missouri, 201 S. Baltimore, Suite C, Kirksville, Missouri 63501.

Officiating the services will be Roger Bushnell, Pastor of the Worthington Baptist Church in Worthington, Missouri.

Survivors include his wife, Samantha Kay Tillett of Worthington, Missouri; children, Desiree Axelson of Chillicothe, Illinois, Gary Tillett of Canton, Illinois, Dawn Conrady of Dublin, Georgia, Jeffry Tillett and wife, Shelly of Pecatonica, Illinois and Bobbie Wilson and husband, Chuck of New Milford, Illinois; and a grandson, Justin Thomas, whom was raised as their own son from 6 months of age to adulthood of Kirksville, Missouri; 14 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; his father, Jesse Eugene Tillett of Blue Eye, Missouri; 3 brothers, George Tillett and wife, Lois of Roscoe, Illinois, Sam Tillett and wife, Shirley of Rockford, Illinois and Don Radcliff of North Fort Myers, Florida; 1 sister, Patsy Scharping of Punta Gorda, Florida; several nieces and nephews and other family members.

As per LaVerne’s wishes, the body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home of Lancaster, Missouri.

Funeral services for 62-year-old Gary D. Garrett of rural Memphis, Missouri will be held at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. with burial in the Campground Cemetery southeast of Downing, Missouri.

Gary D. Garrett passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri.

Visitation is scheduled for Friday, March 20, 2015 between the hours of 6-8:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for the family.

Gary is survived by his wife, Denise Garrett of rural Memphis, Missouri; his daughters, Carol and Ron Thomas of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Laura and Rusty Sands of Unionville, Missouri, Christina and Robert Miller of Memphis, Missouri and Patricia and Matt Jacobs of Maxwell, Iowa; 10 grandchildren, Chance and Logan Thomas, Savanah, Grant and Matthew Sands, Kerbee Willier, Payton and Conner Miller and Zane and Zoey Jacobs; 4 sisters, Marridee Davis and husband, Sam of LaPlata, Missouri, Arleta Miller of Lancaster, Missouri, Sharon Clark and husband, David of Kirksville, Missouri and Marilyn Wilson and husband, Bobby of Fulton, Missouri; 2 brothers, Raymond Garrett and wife, Pixie of Orion, Illinois and Clifford Garrett of Brashear, Missouri; many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
