A 13 year old Winigan, Missouri boy who made the news recently with a Facebook post requesting that he would like to meet Bill Cosby has died as the result of brain cancer.

You may remember a story we ran on KMEM News not long ago about 13 year old Will Jacobs of Green City, whose dying wish was to meet the legendary entertainer.

Thanks to modern technology, not long after Facebook posts were made, someone actually made contact with Cosby through his “Twitter” account, and Cosby actually called young Will Jacobs on the phone, and talked to him for about fifteen or twenty minutes, and told him he would be sending him some DVD’s and an autographed picture.  Although contacts had been made through the Make-A-Wish Foundation to attempt to work out a possible meeting between the two, now that will not happen, as Jacobs died this past Saturday morning at his home outside Winigan.  Jacobs attended school in the Green City School District.

Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville is handling arrangements.  Will Jacobs is survived by his parents, Allen and Trena Jacobs, five brothers and two sisters.  Public visitation will be tonight at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on East Normal Street in Kirksville, with a service tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. at the church.
