Local dentist celebrates fifty years in business in Memphis.

Its not very often someone celebrates fifty years in business, but that is what is happening today in Memphis at the office of dentist Dr. Harlo L.Donelson.

An open house will be held at the Donelson dental office on the west side of the Memphis square from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m..

Donelson, his wife Joyce and son Wes first came to the Memphis area back in 1962.

Donelson almost started his practice in Canton, but the Memphis area made Donelson and his family feel so welcome, that they came to Memphis fifty years ago and stayed ever since.

Donelson is a charter member of the Memphis Community Players, had a hand in leading the effort to build the new Memphis Theatre when the old one burned down, served for a number of years on the Scotland County R-1 School Board and Donelson still serves as head of the local Economic Development Committee.

Once again, the Open House celebrating Donelson’s fifty years in dentistry in the Memphis area will be today from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Donelson Dental Office on the west side of the Memphis square.
