Handling Holiday Stress

It’s the holiday season!  The most wonderful time of the year, right?  Well while we might think we can re-create the “perfect holiday” from our childhood, no matter how hard we try, the possibility of having a “perfect holiday” is next to impossible, and chances are, the holidays of our childhood weren’t quite as perfect as we like to remember.

Local extension specialist Debby Whiston says holidays that are supposed to be a happy time, can also bring their share of pressure and stress due to various circumstances.

Whiston says when all else fails, pause, take a deep breath, make time for your family, but also learn your own limitations.  If possible, delegate some of those special holiday activities to someone else, and make time for yourself.
