 Memorial Services for Jackie A. Barnett, 51, of Memphis will be held at the Payne Funeral Chapel in Memphis on Saturday afternoon, October 18, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Coughron and Pastor Paul Smith officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery at Hillsboro, Iowa

 Visitation is scheduled for Saturday for one hour before the service with the family present to receive friends.

Jackie Barnett passed away Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 15, 2014, at her sisters residence where she had been under Hospice care since June. as per her request cremation was acorded.

Memorials are suggested to the Hospice of Northeast Missouri or the Memphis UMYF and can be left at or mailed to the Payne Funeral Chapel, 202 E. Madison St. Memphis, MO 63555.

Funeral services for James “Earl” Watson, age 88, of Kahoka, will be held Monday, October 13, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with burial and military rites following in the St. Patrick Cemetery, St. Patrick, MO.

Earl Watson died Friday, October 10, 2014, in the Clark Co. Nursing Home in Kahoka.

Friends may call at Wilson Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Sunday with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m.

Memorials in lieu of flowers are suggested to St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Kahoka, the Clark Co. Nutrition Site, Mt. Zion Cemetery or Howard Cemetery, both in Callao, MO.

Mary L. Jinkens

     Mary L. Jinkens, 83 of Wayland, MO died Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at the Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.

     She is survived by one daughter, Sheila Severin and her husband Tim of Wayland, one son, Rickie Jinkens and his wife Debbie of Wayland, 10 grandchildren; Shawn Howell, Bethany Jinkens, Jerry Narney, Russell Jinkens, Shiloh Eggers, Shannon Jinkens, Joni Fotjik, Ricky Jinkens, Scott Severin and Shelby Sonnenburg, 4 step grandchildren; Justin Swinderman, Christina Englund, Megan Walton and Josh Swinderman, 21 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild, two sisters; Edith Burchette of Quincy, IL and Joanna Cunningham of Bedford, IA, and one brother; Harlan Roberts and his wife Marilyn of Kahoka along with several nieces and nephews.

     Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Wayland with Pastor Dan Deatrick officiating.  Burial will be in the Frazee Cemetery in Wayland.

     Visitation will be held after 1 p.m. Friday with the family meeting with friends from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka.

     Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Wayland or the Alexandria Baptist Church.

Ila M. Franklin, 78, of Montrose, Iowa passed away Monday afternoon, Sept. 29, 2014, at the Keokuk Area Hospital at Keokuk, Iowa.

She is survived by her husband, John Franklin of the home in Montrose, Iowa, four children, Gary Biggs (Sheila) of Boyne Falls, MI, Bryan Biggs of Mt. Pleasant, IA and Bruce Biggs (Brenda) of Mt. Pleasant, IA: ten grandchildren and fourteen grandchildren, five sisters, Pauline Becker, Martha Martin (Lafe), Ruthie Sears, Lilly Jordan and Carol Richards (Leroy), sister and brother-in-laws, Dick Franklin (Nancy), Joyce Franklin, Robert Franklin (Judy), Gerald Franklin, Gary Franklin (Sharon) along with other relatives.

“Ranny” Harris died Monday, September 29, 2014 in the emergency room of Scotland County Memorial Hospital in Memphis.
