Funeral Services for Eugene Piper, 93, of Memphis, MO will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Dec. 19, 2014 at the Payne Funeral Chapel in Memphis. Officiating the service will be Rev. Robert Moseley.

Eugene Piper passed away Tuesday evening at the Scotland County Care Center in Memphis.
Visitation is scheduled for one hour before, from 10:00 until the time of the service at Payne’s at 11:00

Inurnment will be at a later date. As per his wishes cremation will be accorded.

Surviving relatives include nine nieces and nephews, all out of the area.

Memorials in lieu of flowers are suggested to the Arbela Baptist Church and can be left % of the Payne Funeral Chapel, 202 E. Madison St. Memphis, MO 63555.

Max S. Slocum, 96, of Memphis, passed away Tuesday, December 16th at the home of his daughter and son-in-law in Memphis.

Registry hours with viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 17th from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. in the Gerth Funeral Chapel in Memphis. Private family services with Pastor Larry Smith will be held at a later time. Per his wishes, he will be cremated with inurnment in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Greensburg, MO.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Northeast Missouri and may be left at or mailed to Gerth Funeral Service, 115 S. Main, Memphis, MO 63555.

Survivors include his daughter, Marilyn and husband Jim Paris of Memphis; two sons, Mark and wife Terrie of Lee’s Summit, MO and Mike and wife Gerrie of Ft. Madison, IA; grandchildren, Lisa Rogers and husband Lance of O’Fallon, MO, Jeff Tague of Queen City, MO, Carley and husband Adam Correa of Lee’s Summit, MO Kelly and husband Johnathan Deen of Ft. Madison, IA, Matthew Slocum of Lee’s Summit, MO, and Jessica and husband Seth Erxleben of Stronghurst, IL; 12 great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; and one sister, Irene Hammond of Keosauqua, IA.

Joy Nicoli, died Monday, December 15, 2014 at the Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri.
She is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Nicoli and a son, Timothy Nicoli, both of Memphis; a special niece, Linda Larkin and her husband, Larry, of Roseville, Illinois; other nieces, nephews and friends.

Evelyn Story died Thursday, December 11, 2014 in The Madison in Fort Madison, IA.

There will be no other visitation.

Ruth Sebben died Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at the Clark Co. Nursing Home in Kahoka.

Funeral services for 87-year-old Shirley Small of Kirksville, Missouri, formerly of Lancaster, Missouri will be held at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with burial in the Howell Cemetery, north of Lancaster, Missouri.

Shirley Small passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 one hour prior to the funeral services between the hours of 1:00 and 2:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri.

Memorials have been established for the Howell Cemetery, north of Lancaster, Missouri.

Officiating the services will be William Hayton assisted by Terry Hunsaker.

Survivors include her sister, Mary Joyce Shively of Kirksville, Missouri with whom she made her home for over a year.
