Vic Shubert Pic I    Funeral Services  for Vic Shubert, 81 of Edina, Missouri formerly of Hannibal, will be at 11:00 a.m.Monday, April 21, 2014, at the Doss Funeral Home in Edina, Missouri.

    Visitation will be after 9:00 a.m. on Monday, with the family receiving friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home

    Military Graveside Honors will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 21, 2014, in the GrandviewMemorial Park in Hannibal, Missouri. Hannibal American Legion Post #55 will provide those honors.

    Victor Merle “Vic” Shubert passed away Friday, April 18, 2014, at the NortheastRegionalMedicalCenter in Kirksville, Missouri.

    Vic is survived by two brothers, Francis “Frank” Shubert of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Jerry Shubert of Taylor, Missouri; two sisters, Janice and her husband Kim Smith of Edina, Missouri and Jane and her husband Lanny Bowen of Kirksville, Missouri; nieces and nephews,  Jerry and his wife Clara Nichols of Knox City, Missouri, Jamie Nichols of Edina, Missouri; Victoria and her husband Terry Sadler of Macon, Missouri, Donna Miller of Ocala, Florida, Jennifer and her husband Gary Bradley of Kirksville, Missouri, Cheryl and her husband Hermann Spilker of Bethel, Missouri, Jimmy Shubert of Edina, Missouri and Randy and his wife Pam Shubert of Roach, Missouri; Sharon Shubert of Edina, Missouri, Mike and his wife Amy Smith of LaPlata, Missouri, Mark and his wife Shellie Smith of Olathe, Kansas, Tina and her husband Carl Miller of Kirksville, Missouri, Joe Bauyan of Orlando, Florida, Patty Howes of Memphis, Missouri, Dennis and his wife Vickie Schroeder of Columbia, Missouri, Elaine Ferguson of Edina, Missouri, Elizabeth and her husband David Bradley of Palmyra, Missouri and Christina and her husband Tim Betz of Hamilton, Ohio; a brother-in-law, Lawrence Schroeder of Edina, Missouri; numerous great nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

Mayme Collis

Mayme Collis, 68 of Queen City, Missouri passed away at her home in Queen City, Missouri on Wednesday, April 16, 2014.

Mayme Collis is survived by her husband of 53 years, Robert Collis of Queen City, Missouri; her children, Debbie Pantry and husband, Greg of Glenwood, Missouri, Robert Collis and wife, Joann of Queen City, Missouri, Jessie Collis and wife, Julie of Queen City, Missouri, Marty Collis and wife, Beth of Queen City, Missouri and Lori Clark and husband, Roy of Kirksville, Missouri; 15 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Cora Duncan and husband, David of Libertyville, Iowa; 2 brothers, Delbert Stewart and wife, Inez of Coatsville, Missouri and Keith Stewart of Carlyle, Iowa; nieces and nephews and other family members.

Edna Buckallew

     Edna Miriam Buckallew, 83, of Kahoka, MO died Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at the Clark County Nursing Home in Kahoka, MO.

     Left to cherish her loving ways are her husband, Glen Buckallew of Kahoka, her daughter, Sherri St. Clair of Kahoka, her son, Brian Buckallew and his wife Julie of Des Moines, Iowa, five grandchildren, Ryan Douglas St. Clair of Kahoka, Alexis Lynn St. Clair, a student at the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO, Paige Kristine St. Clair of Kahoka, Megan Buckallew and Nathan Buckallew both of Des Moines, IA along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

      Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 19 at the Kahoka Methodist Church with Pastor Barb Hagerla officiating.  Burial will be in the Kahoka Cemetery.

     Visitation will be held after 1 p.m. Friday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka with the family meeting with friends from 5 – 7 p.m.

     Memorials may be made to the Kahoka Methodist Church or the Clark County Scholarship Fund.



Funeral services for Kent Raymond Martin, age 73, of Quincy, IL, formerly of Kahoka, will be held Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 10 a.m. at The Crossing in Quincy, IL, with burial following in Greenmount Cemetery in Quincy.

Kent Martin died peacefully on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at his home.

Friends may call at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka after 9 a.m. Friday with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Family will also receive friends Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of services at The Crossing, 48th and Main Street, Quincy.

Memorials in lieu of flowers are suggested to the Clark Co. Local Cancer Fund or the Quincy High School Music Dept.

Officiating at the service will be Pastor Brian Byquist. Eulogists will be Ryan Martin and Ronald Ferguson.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn, of Quincy;

Funeral services for 82-year old Marie Wineinger of Downing, Missouri will be held at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri on Friday, April 18, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with burial in the Downing Cemetery in Downing, Missouri.

Marie Wineinger passed away on Monday, April 14, 2014 at the Scotland County Hospital in Memphis, Missouri.

Patricia Reed passed away Wednesday evening, April 9, 2014, at her home in Cedar Creek, Tesas,  a suburb of Austin, Texas.

She is survived by her mother, Emma Smith, of Memphis; four children, Joeseph J. Curran of Quincy, Illinois, Kimberly (Bobby) Fink of Donnellson, Iowa, Garrett (Jane) Curran of China, and Nicky (Arash) Farahvar of Champaign, Illinois; two sisters, Sandra Remley of Arbela, Billie (Jimmy) Nytes, of Carpio, North Dakota. Also surviving are five grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

Margaret Fincher

Margaret Fincher, 69 of Kahoka, Missouri, formerly of Downing, Missouri passed away at the Scotland County Care Center in Memphis, Missouri on Monday, April 14, 2014.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Tammy Fincher of Kahoka, Missouri; 4 grandchildren, Tracey Bowden and husband, Andrew of Kahoka, Missouri, Tasha, Shelby and Tyler Fincher of Chariton, Iowa; 2 great granddaughters, Skyla Bowden of Kahoka, Missouri and Kelly of Iowa; many cousins and other family members.
