Junior Snodgrass, 89, of Memphis, died Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at University of Missouri Hospitals and Clinics in Columbia.

He is the former Scotland County Sheriff.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 3rd at 10 a.m. in the Gerth Funeral Chapel in Memphis with Pastor Robert Moseley officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery, north of Arbela, with gravesite military rites provided by the Wallace W. Gillespie Memorial Post #4958 of Memphis.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 2nd from 2-8 p.m. with the family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m.

Survivors include his wife, Norma of the home; his son, Steve and wife Carolyn of Memphis; his granddaughter, Justina and husband Josh Morse of Memphis; his sister, Delma Mallett of Troy, MO; nephews, Orville Jackson of Stratford, MO, Donald Jackson of Queen City, MO, Kyle Jackson of Ozark, MO; nieces, Janet Richardson of Texas, Joyce Martin of Ohio, Caroline Huff of Troy, MO, and Janice Shaw of Glenwood, MO; and numerous cousins.

Memorials are suggested to the Arbela Baptist Church or to Mt. Moriah Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Gerth Funeral Service, 115 S. Main, Memphis, MO 63555.
